Alone in the dark
Alone like a crow
Alone in the world
Alone like a lost child
Alone with no one around
Alone where there’s not sound
Alone where I can be myself
Alone without worry
Alone like me

Darkness rises as all light goes out
Hope is distant like blowing wind
The beast sleeps while the night confines me
Time is still, as the earth spins
Life moves on but not me
Nobody else cared
Never asked if I was scared
Don’t try to understand me
